Webhooks & Automation
Pro Signals V5 can send its alerts as JSON to any webhook URL, so a bot, spreadsheet or trading app can read them without parsing sentences. This page explains the format and how to set it up safely.
Set it up
- 1Switch alert messages to JSONIn the indicator settings, under Display, set Alert messages to JSON.
- 2Create one alertCondition: "Pro Signals", then "Any alert() function call".
- 3Add your webhook URLIn the alert's Notifications tab, tick Webhook URL and paste the address your app gave you. Webhooks need a paid TradingView plan.
- 4Send a testPoint the webhook at a request inspector first and check the payload arrives.
The payload
Every alert sends one object with an events array. One candle can carry more than one event.

|---|---|
| source | Always pro_signals, so your app knows where it came from. |

| timeframe | The chart timeframe. |
| events[].event | What happened, for example signal. Other events cover targets, stops, exits, trend changes, band touches and structure breaks. |
| events[].direction | 1 for long (BUY), -1 for short (SELL). |
| events[].stars | The signal's star rating, 0 to 5. |
| entry, stop, tp1, tp2, tp3 | The trade plan prices. |
Automation safety
- Test on a demo or paper account for weeks before going live.
- Set a maximum position size and a daily loss limit inside your bot.
- Filter by stars in your bot as well as with Minimum stars, so one setting change can't flood it.
- Remember alerts fire once per candle close. Your bot should handle duplicates and missed messages.
- Recreate the alert after changing any indicator setting.
For phone notifications and the text format, see Alerts.
