    Common issues#

I don't see the indicator in TradingView

Open a chart, click Indicators, then the Invite-only scripts tab. SimpleAlgo appears there once access is granted. Access is tied to the exact TradingView username you submitted — check for typos and re-submit it in your dashboard if needed, then refresh TradingView.

I submitted my username but nothing appeared

Log out of TradingView and back in, then reload the chart. If it still isn't in Invite-only scripts, re-submit your username in the dashboard — a re-submit forces a fresh grant. Still stuck? Email support@simplealgo.io with your TradingView username.

    No signals are printing

Most often the Chop Filter is doing its job — check the Dashboard's Market row. If it says Choppy, the market is not trending and signals are intentionally suppressed. You can also try a lower timeframe or a more reactive Sensitivity mode.

    Too many signals

Move Sensitivity toward Swing Trader, raise the Chop Filter threshold to 20-25, use a higher timeframe, and only act on 75%+ conviction.

A signal appeared and then disappeared

Labels only stay on confirmed bars. If price closed back through the trend line before the candle finished, the signal was never valid. Always wait for the bar close — this is by design and is what prevents repainting.

TradingView says I have too many indicators

Free TradingView plans allow three indicators per chart. Remove others, or upgrade your TradingView plan. SimpleAlgo itself works on a free plan.

The chart looks slow or laggy

Turn off overlays you're not using — Smart Money, S&R Zones and Trend Cloud are the heaviest. Also reduce your browser tab count; TradingView is memory hungry.

Position size looks wrong or shows a dash

Set Account Size to your real balance and Risk per Trade % to 1-2%. A dash means no trade is currently active (Signal row shows WAITING) or the stop distance could not be computed yet.

    The Dashboard covers price action

Change its corner in Display → Dashboard position, or turn it off entirely.

    Alerts fire at odd times

Set the alert trigger to Once Per Bar Close. Once Per Bar fires mid-candle on conditions that can still change.

    My colors look wrong

Someone changed Bull / Bear / Accent in Display. Open settings and click Defaults → Reset settings to restore the SimpleAlgo palette.

    Levels disappeared from my chart

Entry · SL · TP levels are replaced on each new signal, and S&R / Smart Money zones delete themselves once price closes through them. That's intended — broken levels are no longer valid.
