Smart Money & S&R Zones
V5 maps market structure automatically: where institutions likely left orders, where price moved too fast, and the moment the trend structure actually changes. Both toggles live under Chart Overlays and are off by default.
BOS and CHoCH#
V5 tracks the most recent confirmed swing high and swing low (10-bar pivots). When price closes beyond one of them, a dashed line and a label print:
- BOS (Break of Structure) — the break continues the existing bias. Trend confirmation.
- CHoCH (Change of Character) — the break goes against the previous bias. The first sign the trend may be turning.
Order Blocks#
On each structure break, V5 looks back up to 20 bars for the last opposing candle — the down candle before an up-break, or the up candle before a down-break — and boxes it. That zone is where the move originated and is a common area for price to retest. The three most recent blocks per side are kept, and a block is deleted automatically once price closes through it, so the chart never fills with dead zones.
Fair Value Gaps (FVG)#
An FVG is a three-bar imbalance where price moved so quickly that a gap was left between the first and third bar. V5 only draws gaps larger than 30% of ATR(14), so tiny noise gaps are ignored. Four gaps per side are kept and each one deletes itself once price trades back through it.
S&R Zones 2.0#
Separate from Smart Money, the S&R toggle draws ATR-thick zones around confirmed 10-bar pivot highs (resistance, red) and pivot lows (support, green). Up to three of each are kept, and a zone is removed the moment price closes beyond it. A single Key Level Break alert covers breaks of the most recent support or resistance.
