    Step by step

    1. 1
      Spot purple columns
Coiling means tight volatility for 3 candles in a row with momentum near the middle. A bigger move often follows.
    2. 2
      Don't guess the direction
Wait. A coil can break either way.
    3. 3
Take the first signal out of the coil
Check that the Pressure columns agree with the signal's direction.
    4. 4
      Watch Trade Fuel
Strong fuel means momentum and pressure both support the trade.

    Managing the trade

    • Breakouts that turn Fading quickly are worth trimming early.
    • If price falls straight back into the coil, consider closing the trade.

    When to skip it

    • The coil sits right under a major level.
    • A major news release is about to hit.

    Common mistakes

    • Entering inside the coil to 'get in early'.
    • Using different Signal Modes in the two indicators, so they disagree.
