Pre-Trade Checklist

Run through this before every trade. Tick the boxes on screen, or print it and keep it next to your keyboard. If you can't tick a box, that's your answer.

Before the session

I know today's high-impact news times.
I've marked yesterday's high, low and close (intraday) or the nearest zones (swing).
I know my daily loss limit and haven't hit it.

The signal

The candle has closed. The signal is confirmed.
It meets my Minimum stars rule.
I've read the Why and know which checks failed, if any.
Both higher timeframe rows agree, or I'm deliberately trading a reversal with reduced risk.
The Market row reads clean.

The chart

There's room to TP1 before the next strong level.
Price isn't already stretched at the outer Reversal Band.
No major news is due before the trade has time to work.

The plan

My size matches my Risk %.
I've chosen how I'll scale out before entering.
I accept the loss if the stop is hit.

After the trade

Write one line: what you saw, what you did, and whether you followed this list. Reviewing those notes weekly teaches more than any indicator setting.
