Alerts

    V5 ships 18 alert conditions so you never have to watch the chart. Set them once per symbol and timeframe.

    Setting one up#

      Right-click the chart and choose Add alert
      Or press the alarm-clock icon in the right toolbar.

      Set Condition to SimpleAlgo
      Pick the indicator, then pick the alert from the second dropdown (e.g. 🟢 Buy Signal).

      Set Trigger to Once Per Bar Close
      This matches how signals are confirmed and prevents false alerts mid-bar.

      Choose notifications
      Enable push notifications to get alerts on the TradingView mobile app; add email or webhook if you need them.

      Save
      Repeat per symbol and timeframe — TradingView alerts are chart-specific.
    Always use Once Per Bar Close
    Setting alerts to Once Per Bar will fire mid-candle on conditions that can still change. Bar close is the only setting that matches the signals printed on your chart.

    Every alert condition#

    Search or filter to find the exact alert you need, then copy its name straight into TradingView.

    🟢 Buy Signal

    A confirmed BUY ▲ printed on a closed bar.

    Use it for: Your main long entry alert.

    🔴 Sell Signal

    A confirmed SELL ▼ printed on a closed bar.

    Use it for: Your main short entry alert.

    ✖ Exit Flag

    Momentum turned against the active trade.

    Use it for: Early exit / tighten stop.

    🎯 1:1 TP Hit

    Price reached the static 1:1 target.

    Use it for: Take partials, move stop to breakeven.

    🎯 2:1 TP Hit

    Price reached the static 2:1 target.

    Use it for: Scale out the second third.

    🎯 3:1 TP Hit

    Price reached the static 3:1 target.

    Use it for: Close the runner.

    🎯 Dynamic TP1

    First momentum extreme after entry.

    Use it for: Discretionary partial profit.

    🎯 Dynamic TP2

    Second momentum extreme after entry.

    Use it for: Discretionary partial profit.

    🎯 Dynamic TP3

    Third momentum extreme after entry.

    Use it for: Usually the exhaustion point.

    🛑 Trailing SL Hit

    The trailing stop-loss was taken out.

    Use it for: Trade is closed — stand down.

    🔀 Key Level Break

    Price broke the most recent S&R level.

    Use it for: Breakout continuation.

    📊 Structure Shift

    A BOS or CHoCH structure break occurred.

    Use it for: Bias change warning.

    🟢 Trend Bullish

    The Active Trend ribbon flipped up.

    Use it for: Higher-timeframe bias filter.

    🔴 Trend Bearish

    The Active Trend ribbon flipped down.

    Use it for: Higher-timeframe bias filter.

    🟢 Cloud Bullish

    The Trend Cloud flipped up.

    Use it for: Slow, big-picture direction.

    🔴 Cloud Bearish

    The Trend Cloud flipped down.

    Use it for: Slow, big-picture direction.

    🟢 Lower Band Touch

    Price tagged the lower reversal band.

    Use it for: Potential bounce / cover shorts.

    🔴 Upper Band Touch

    Price tagged the upper reversal band.

    Use it for: Potential pullback / take profit.

    Recommended alert set
    Buy Signal, Sell Signal and Trailing SL Hit for trade management, plus Structure Shift if you trade smart-money style. Anything more usually becomes noise.
