How to Remove or Hide Indicators on TradingView
There is a real difference between hiding and removing. Hiding keeps the indicator and its settings on the chart but stops it drawing. Removing deletes it, settings and all.
Hide one indicator temporarily
Hover the indicator's name in the legend at the top-left of the chart and click the eye icon. The plot disappears; the settings stay.
Click the eye again to bring it back. This is the right choice when you are decluttering for a screenshot or focusing on one signal.
Remove one indicator
Three ways:
Accidentally removed the wrong one? Ctrl/Cmd + Z undoes it.
Remove all indicators at once
Right-click anywhere on the chart → Remove indicators. This clears every study in one go but leaves your drawings alone.
To clear drawings as well, right-click → Remove drawings, or use Remove objects to clear both.
Turn indicators off without deleting them
If you switch between a clean chart and a loaded one often, do not delete anything. Save two indicator templates — one "clean", one "full setup" — and swap between them in a click.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between hiding and removing an indicator?
Hiding stops it drawing but keeps its settings on the chart. Removing deletes it entirely — re-adding it starts from defaults unless you saved defaults.
How do I remove all indicators at once?
Right-click on the chart and choose Remove indicators.
Can I undo removing an indicator?
Yes — Ctrl/Cmd + Z immediately after, provided you have not reloaded the chart.
How do I turn off an indicator on the mobile app?
Tap its name in the legend, then tap the eye icon to hide it or the delete icon to remove it.
If you are removing indicators to make room
Most traders end up deleting things because their chart got unreadable, not because the indicators were wrong. Three tools — one for trend, one for momentum, one for entries — is usually the ceiling. SimpleAlgo bundles those three into one overlay so the chart stays readable. See the setup.
