If alerts show in the alert log but never reach your phone, the alert is fine and the delivery is broken. Work through these in order.
1. Push is enabled on the alert itself
Open the alert, go to the notifications tab, and confirm Notify on app is ticked. Each alert has its own delivery settings, so an alert created before you installed the mobile app may have push switched off.
2. You're signed into the same account on the phone
Push goes to the account's registered devices. A different account — or a phone signed out at some point — receives nothing.
3. Notification permission is granted
iOS: Settings → Notifications → the app → Allow Notifications on, with Banners or Alerts enabled and Sounds on if you need them.
Android: Settings → Apps → the app → Notifications on, and check the individual notification categories inside.
Silent or "deliver quietly" settings are especially easy to enable by accident and produce alerts that arrive with no visible sign.
4. Focus modes and Do Not Disturb
iOS Focus modes and Android Do Not Disturb suppress notifications by default. Add the app to the allowed list of whichever mode you use during market hours, or you'll get every alert at the moment the mode ends.
5. Battery optimisation (Android especially)
Aggressive battery management stops background delivery. Settings → Apps → the app → Battery → set to Unrestricted. Some manufacturers add a second layer of their own power management; look for an auto-launch or protected-apps list.
This is the most common cause of "alerts arrive hours later, all at once".
